]]>mike doughty and his band fantastic..http://lauratakespictures.com/blog/2011/11/21/mike-doughty-and-his-band-fantastic.htmllaura musselman2011-11-21T17:35:07Z2011-11-21T17:35:07Zmike doughty is an incredibly special musician in my life. i've been a super-fan since high school. i got into soul coughing from one of my first boyfriends, never saw them live. he came out with a solo album, Skittish, back in 2000, and i've seen him every time i've had the chance since he toured that record -- and i'm not embarrassed to say i've probably seen him upwards of 25 times.. i have a couple of tattoos that relate to my deep attachment to his music and poetry, and he'll always hold a big spot in my musical heart. i'm lucky enough to be someone that he gives the appreciation right back to, allowing me to photograph him when there's a minute or two to sneak backstage with my cameras. buy his new album, yes, and also yes, because it's excellent. oh! and you can view the whole photoset here, if you'd like.

p.s. his band is full of cream-of-the-crop-excellent-dudes as well.
